Saturday morning pictures
Discussion
The Forest Rangers, The Double Deckers and The Kids from 47a along with e.g. Flash Gordon, Lone Ranger and, I think Laurel and Hardy are what I remember of Saturday morning cinema, in my case viewed at the Ace State: Your Local Luxury (oh no it wasn't!) Cinema, just off Barkingside High Street by the Fullwell Cross roundabout.
This would have been early 1970s, a shilling or so in my pocket and off to the cinema to watch programmes in colour (that were filmed in colour). B&w tv in my house until around 1975.

Saturday morning pictures in the 1950's - 2 hours of unsupervised juvenile mayhem, at least it was at our local fleapit!
Jamboree bag of sweets, pocketful of missiles and a Davy Crockett hat. Cheering the goodies, booing the baddies and singing our heads off -
pocket money well spent!
