Mammoth - BBC2

After watching Race Across the World last night, I hopped channels to BBC2 and watched the first part of three in a new comedy series called Mammoth. Wasn’t expecting much, but thought I’d give it a go. With elements of David Brent, overloaded with Dad’s jokes and a cast including Sian Gibson, I thought it had some great laugh out moments. The idea of a man stuck in the 70s, working as a PE teacher in 2024, with a non-PC outlook and behaviour might not be the basis for comedy gold but I thought it worked well and didn’t try too hard.
