This format is dire. Audience asks a question, he dodges it and there is no follow up question opportunity.
Bit worrying that he wouldn't confirm he was willing to retaliate with nuclear weapons. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of them really. No wonder he's not in favour of them.

He just said he would sign the papers and do it if necessary... but it is I culpable not somehting he'd be comfortable with.. fair enough response I think.
He didn't say he'd do it (if by "it" you mean fire missiles), he said he'd write the letters of instruction (telling commanders what to do in the event that London is a smoking crater). He didn't say what he'd put in those letters, and therefore I'm certain they would say "do not return fire".Blue Oval84 said:
I think he's doing fairly well so far, if I was a Corbyn supporter I'd have seen almost nothing here to give me any concerns.
People who meet him seem to warm to him, I don't find him particularly charismatic but he comes across as a decent enough bloke. I think these live events will do him more good than it will May.
Both of them sound much more sincere that Cameron and Miliband ever did though,
May is running down the clock a bit.
The audience don't seem to be warming to her as they did for Corbyn. They're only clapping the questions not the answers. Corbyn seemed much better received.
She's even getting heckled.

Stutter. Stutter.
She's thinking about her answers rather than just trotting out a line.Do people want steady at the helm May for the Brexit or something new and different with Corbyn?

The fact she can't say "yes" to no deal speaks volumes - she doesn't mean it, she desperately wants a deal, but has been persuading to play the "no deal" charade.
Perhaps it is only to fool the gullible and has no real purpose in the negotiations, it does seem to work on some after all.
She did say yes, at 87 minutes into the program. She said it twice, they then pan to the audience and women on the end of the row in black dress with pendant round her neck pulls a "blimey" face.Perhaps it is only to fool the gullible and has no real purpose in the negotiations, it does seem to work on some after all.
she then says "you have to", when asked again, and expands on that.
open your eyes and ears slasher, go look at it again.

I think May limited her damage with the final minute... but up until then she looked shaken and very weak.
Again, I'm happy with a Tory party leading Brexit negotiations - but May is NOT the person.
She'd be useless at poker; let's put it like that. Utterly useless.
