Good on them, why in this how weather should boys have to keep wearing trousers, yet girls can either wear trousers or skirts? (Ignore the fact that this hot weather is pretty rare!)

School shorts can be smart, obviously sports shorts would be different though. As long as the shorts were schhol, grey or black shorts I don't see the issue.

I can remember being sent to the head mistress of my junior school because I had the audacity to sweat in class on a very hot summers day, never did understand it.
