At least the council saw common sense. What a bunch of jobs worth, like the father said, fair play ask them to pack up and move on but to actually issue a fine on the spot to a small child just takes the mick!

It's the parents that have been fined for their fking stupidity. Unless you believe that a 5year old actually organised the entire operation on their own?

There shall be no private enterprise in the glorious socialist paradise of Tower Hamlets. More than 140% of our constituents agree.

Yeah, what stupid parents. Who in their right mind would help a little'un set up a stall and be enterprising, and interact with people. I mean what a piss poor example to be set.

Next time they should leave her in front of peppa pig for the afternoon, it'll be much better for her banghead

"Four enforcement officers"

What other examples of poor judgement may they be guilty off I wonder.

This country is doomed.

What a load of st story. Look at the notice

The father, Mr Andre Spicer, was fined, not the five year old daughter

He has said elsewhere that "I’m a professor in a business school, so I probably should have known some kind of permit was required. "

He is also the author of a book, "The Stupidity Paradox" . Maybe that book explores why people do stupid things, and then pen even stupider, inaccurate tales of what happened.

That explains why he was oblivious to the requirement.

I'd be surprised if she has even the most rudimentary of Hygiene qualifications, there is no access to wash up facilities, that wooden table is clearly not compliant for food prep and as for the shocking approach to pedestrian management....

£150 is getting off lightly for a menace like this.

Daddy, can you help me set up a stall on the pavement in Mile End, to sell Lemonade to a load of pissed/whacked festival goers?

No dear, but why don't we have a Teddy Bear's tea party in the back garden instead?
Not, "yes of course Poppet, we'll do whatever you want".

Whilst issuing a fine is jobsworth idiocy, so is organising street vending for a 5 year old....
