Could be anything from a careless recycling of a Samsung Phone to a prank to an incident designed to scare.

After the London bridges attacks resulted in big pavement barriers being put up to stop the fkheads ploughing cars along the pavements, I remember saying to my daughters that the next target will be the tube (though I suspected 2-3 of them armed with knives ploughing through a carriage between stations).

There's nowhere to run on a tube train between stations. They have a literally captive audience, tightly packed. A bomb successfully detonated between stations would be devastating. And that's got to be what's coming.

BREAKING -Security sources say they've identified a suspect involved in the Parsons Green bombing, with the aid of CCTV footage

(Translation - we knew about him before)
On that page theres some amusing reference to a "known wolf"

Disappointing to see so many having a joke about this incident. I hope the 22 in hospital find it just as amusing.
Sod off, its tradition to take the piss out of the incompetent enemy.

The media are once again giving endless, wall-to-wall coverage to this. The attacker and his oppos will be rubbing their hands with glee because the London population are being more frightened by the BBC et al, than the failed attempt at a bombing. It should be reported briefly and factually only. Then the attackers will be frustrated by their attempt to put the fear of Allah up the country. Obviously it is serious that people have been hurt but banging on like this will not help them but it gives the cause of the attackers free publicity.
Unfortunately the logical endpoint of that approach is not to report terrorist events at all and not to give terrorists the "oxygen of publicity" (as I think Mrs Thatcher called it). And then you end up with actors on the news doing funny voices reading out press releases and interview answers supplied by terrorist organisations, as we saw with the IRA in the 1980s.

A comment about the media reporting.

Why did C4 need to be on site at Parsons Green tonight?

Of what benefit?

Seems utterly pointless.
Being "at the scene" always gives a better feel for the story than being remote and distant.

This one's also just around the corner from the C4 newsroom and gets them out the office for a few hours.

But it had Di in it
You can't get more remote and distant than that

Nearly always the scumbag is on the radar as an Islamist. The problem being is no one quite knows what to do with thousands of British Muslims who fit into the problem area of people interested in killing. I don't see it as a Police numbers/ budget problem.
It is a difficult political puzzle to work through.

In the scheme of things (the people directly affected not included of course), these clowns are rank amateurs and will have no real impact on the function of the city or country.

Someone arrested pah, should have been shot on sight. Why are we not treating this as a war, after all its "ISIS" that have declared it as a war, when we find a safe house the first thing to do is launch a RPG through the letterbox or send the SAS in with knives for a silent kill.
Are you just posturing or do you actually believe that?

As regards fostering it seems hey have done it for a lengthy period - that to me is a noble and genuine thing to do
As regards being wishy washy they may well be. They may also be well meaning and genuine people
Talking of genuine I genuinely understand your anger and I wont patronise you for it. I'm also starting to think that a dead terrorist is better than a live one. I dislike the after effects. The endless appeals the endless amount of public money spent on this and that
But I suspect I will be patronised and sneered at for expressing such a view so I'll be off to enjoy the company of our lovely daughter who arrived home earlier this afternoon and whom we are fortunate to have staying with us for a few days.
And I'll wish all the best to you and your families and hope you all stay safe,

Don't bet on it, fostering is very lucrative as an income source. I doubt anyone does it purely out of the goodness of their hearts anymore.

15 guns and a bomb found at the raided house. And the do gooders knew nothing? seriously? didn't have any inkling of what he might be up to.
What do you think they knew and why?

If you want to sling mud simply by association fair enough but if you stop for just a second and think about it do you really think that a 71 year old woman an an 88 year old man who have fostered over 250 kids and got an MBE in recognition of it saw some guns and thought "Nah fk it"?
NO
But I'm afraid they seem to have fallen short of being vigilant in this case.

So not only do they let them in willy nilly, once they are here they give them a free house with panoramic views of the airport. Again, well done.
