Not surprised. Rumours that he's not very well have been swirling for weeks. Hope he (or his family) are ok.

Can you post some links. What's wrong with him?

I wondered if it was him where the issue lay, no proof just a wild theory based on what i have seen of him recently on TV

Might be to do with his own health if any recent appearances are anything to go on. Must serious what ever it is with cancelling all shows, even the 2019 ones.

You're new here, aren't you? Yipper's basic function on here is to post unsubstantiated bullst and bugger off when asked for proof.

Even Yipper's gravestone will have all the wrong info on it.

Clearly something very serious. Asking the media not to dig and respect his family's privacy isn't going to work though.

Maybe he already has enough to buy the new bungalow he was after.

Admirable that he's taken this stance - if you can afford to put your family first, to the point of not working, and feel that is the right thing to do, then you must. Best of luck to him.

So Yipper is a bigger comedian than Peter Kay is he?

Obviously, hope that he and his family are ok, and sort out whatever it is.

I saw him a few years ago in Manchester. It was dull and pretty unfunny in most parts. 4 of our party of 6 had micro snoozes during the performance.

He wasn't performing. Just out for a meal with his family?

Well, it probably would have been funnier, but no, this was in Machester Arena, and he was on the stage, so assuming me and the other 50,000 odd people attending were there to see him be funny.

I've never found him funny, when I heard the news I thought maybe he’d been shown one of his live shows on dvd and decided to pack in.
