Russian Threat

How real is the Russian threat we keep hearing about in the news and why are they being demonised in the press (genuine question as I'm not well informed on this, hence this post)?

Why, once the darlings of the left in the UK, are they now seemingly viewed as the villains by the liberal establishment?

How real is the threat though?

All we hear are sounbites such as "thousands, upon thousands,.....upon (yet another) thousands" are going to be killed when Russia sabotages our infrastructure. That's pure hyperbole.

One thing is for certain, if there was any real chance of that we would not be told about it. It strikes me as pure propoganda and I wonder what's behind it.

(PS: I can't be manipulated by the media or anyone else for that matter, I'm a died in the wool sceptic and have been since childhood)

Not sure whether that's an ad hom or just an obtuse comment, either way it's gone over my feeble head!

So, back to the original question, how real is the threat? Genuine question, I really am interested to know whether there is a prescient threat from Russia or not?

I'm not seeing one myself but perhaps that's beacause I'm ignoring the 'news'
