Wouldn't it be nice if they recouped a little shred of dignity and credibility by
(a) Thanking the medical staff for their unstinting care, skill and dedication over the past year
(b) Donated all the money raised to the hospital to help other seriously ill children
(c) Advised others in this position not to be misled by cynical people with an agenda
