I have to ask, is this man the biggest tt in U.K. politics? He will say anything to get Labour into government. Shameless moron.

No - because Labour are not in power so he doesn't have any responsibility to make things work. It's those in the Tory party you should be looking at.
You’ve clearly misunderstood the question

Ok then - can you explain?
My question was about people in politics, not those in government.

yes Because I didn't simply agree with the OP I was told I didn't understand.

And my answer is that a person in opposition cannot be anywhere near as big a tt as one in government because they are the opposition so their job is to cause trouble, not run the country.
And clearly you still don’t understand. The purpose of the opposition is to present an electable alternative to the current government. Anyone can be a tt.

Indeed, NP+E, as a sub forum of PH is territory for the world’s sharpest minds.

Being honest I think you are just one of the people on PH who want to distract from the complete debacle of a government we have by pointing a finger elsewhere. That's why the Corbyn and Diane Abbott threads roll-on.
Eh? My question was about John McDonnel and what people thought about his rather strange militant behaviour. I don’t deny the current government have members in their ranks who are also a bit odd but for me he stands out.

If you are a fan of him and Corbyn and feel offended, I apologise.

You implied he was the biggest tt in politics. Was I only supposed to participate in the thread if I agreed with you?
I couldn’t care less to be honest, certainly not enough to argue with you on the subject.

AIUI the thread was about individuals in politics, compared to & contrasted with McDonnell.
It's not a thread about generalities of government.
See, he gets it!
