FWIW I dont think Joey's post is attributing any blame to the woman at all. He is making suppositions based on various facts, partly indisputable ones that most murder victims are known to their murderer, but also ones based on his own experiences, which are far more disputable!
But it is naiive to think the cops will not have already been down that road at some point long ago and may well still be on it.

This is a discussion board, i dont think anything he has said isnt anything many other people may be thinking (not me BTW, but i am open to others' opinions), and certainly he does not seem to be saying it is in anyway her fault.

As for the naming of the suspect, it's been out there for some time, just hit the mainstream press now. It's not perfect but in the age of twitter etc, hardly a surprise.

A curfew for men at 8pm is no different to telling women not to go out alone at night and that’s the fking point.

Address the male problem by telling females to do something and let the males off the hook for the stty behaviour.

Same thought process as ‘well she shouldn’t wear a shirt skirt’.

We men have to have a proper fking look at ourselves, women shouldn’t have to carry rape alarms, walk in brightly lit areas, be in the phone to someone at all times, etc just to protect themselves from men,

And if you’re feeling persecuted cause you’ve got a dick imagine how those win a vagina feel constantly, get over yourselves you fking snowflakes and address the problem head on.

Back when the Ripper was doing his deeds women protested cause they got the same thing from the men in power, ‘don’t go out at night’ and it didn’t solve a fking thing and now in 2021 nothing has changed.

We’re the problem, not the women. Admit it for once, it is ALL of us because if we’re not actively changing our behaviours or standing up for women then we’re part of her problem not the solution.

This poor girl did all the ‘right’ things that women are expected to do and still got attacked and killed so who’s at fault?
Nope, speak for yourself maybe, but you are full of st to say ALL of us (men) are the problem. You may be, and good of you to admit it, I am absolutely not.

You'd never dare say all Muslims are part of the "terrorist problem", to do so would be moronic. And as such, what you've written here is similarly utter horsest .

Enjoy your Gillette razor.

Turns out the young 21 year old didn’t like the 35,year old asking her about her family and whether she had a boyfriend etc
I get the asking about the family but why the boyfriend?

Especially given the age difference, male asking a female and how it could've and seemingly was misconstrued?
Why not? In what twisted world can an adult not ask another adult if they have a boyfriend of girlfriend?
It is a perfectly normal thing to ask at some point if you are getting to know a person or just being pleasant?
There's some utterly mental shyte being talked on this thread, I wonder what stholes some of you must live in, or who you hang around with?
This incident is headline news for a reason, and lest we forget, it seems some poor woman has been the victim of one of the worst crimes imaginable. But they way some of you are talking, you'd think this was common place.... it isn't.

As the OP on this , if you want to talk about the sort of issues the last three pages have been filled with, maybe start another thread on the subject. Because it looks like you're trying to politicise this incident based on whatever agenda you have, and to be frank, you haven't a fking clue what exactly has actually gone on here, none of us do.

I'd see that really as more of a party/social question than a workplace one. Fair enough if the other person drops a mention of their partner/spouse into conversation but not something to actively question. What's your (workplace appropriate) response going to be if they just say they're single?
It's a completely normal thing to ask. Time and place as with ANY conversation, but for some poster (not you) to question why to ask, but concede it is ok to ask about family etc, is utterly insane.
Of course he is the same lunatic who reckons we as men as ALL to blame for the actions of the very occasional nut job or Neanderthal. I wonder if he includes gay men in that ridiculous assertion?

At the end of the day, it does not matter one jot what us men think. It only matters what women think, and if they find a man, any man, walking near them at night frightening, then clearly that is the only relevant thing in the discussion.
Ah, I see our resident white knight has arrived again - the saviour of all women.
You are perfectly entitled call me whatever you like.

But I'm perfectly happy to listen to concerns, to learn, and to make small amendments to my behaviour, in order to make other humans feel more welcome, included and safe.

If you think that making small changes that make almost no impact on your life, but help others, is somehow a bad thing, then I honestly don't know what to say.
This is utterly cuckooland stuff.
Unless ALL women feel the same way, how can men alter their behaviour and make them all feel safe. You see a woman coming toward you, you cross the road. The woman coming toward you could think, he's crossed the road because i am a "vegan, lesbian, black, muslim" (delete as applicable), HOW DARE HE, lets get a pic of this hater up on Twitter to warn others! As the same time the woman further up the road you've not seen on the other side, has clocked you is now thinking you are stalking her and are going to rape her!.
Unless a man knows how he is being perceived by every woman, how can he alter you behaviour and be sure he is helping and not making it worse. Presumably this is why some will call for men to not be allowed out now.

So crossing the road for a woman is considerate but doing the same for a black man is racist?
What about crossing the road to avoid a black woman?
Is there anything to stop the woman crossing the road, and if she did, and you ihad to cross also, at what point can she shout "rape" and get the taser out?

Why did the male or identifying as a male, or gender neutral but potentially physically intimidating person cross the road...?
Ans- he didnt because he was not allowed out after 6pm.

I'm not bothered one iota about his kids, tbqh. They have a mother, and it appears their dad was a proper xxxt.
They will be better off without him, so I'll save my sympathy for a family far more deserving.

At least they never released statements saying what a top bloke and great dad he was like that officer that murdered his kids then topped himself.
