"More than 40 climate protesters have climbed onto a roof at Parliament in the latest breach of security there"

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8301586.stm

1) why have they not been shot
2) why has the person in charge of security not been sacked

I would cordon off the whole area, stop any contact with them from anybody inc the press and leave them there to get bored. When they get down, arrest them.
Your kind of missing the point...

I don't think anyone really cares WHO is up there, it's more that how did they manage to get up there when our 'supposed' anti-terrorist measures are supposed to be so tight?
quite its truely shocking - surely that is supposed to be one of the most secure buildings in the country???

i cant believe theyre allowed to stay there and greenpeace dictates what happens ffs.

the amount of police that were around for the labour conference in brighton surely there must be one or 2 at the ffing houses of parliament this nation is getting embarassing

"At least 20 climate protesters will remain on the roof of Parliament overnight, Greenpeace has said."
