Professor David Begg turns up somewhere unexpected

For those of you that don't know this man - he hates you.

He is responsible for the debacle that is Edinburgh's transport. He champions bus lanes, parking attendants and public transport. Oh, and he was responsible for Labour wanting to roll out satellite tracking of cars, in order to levy taxes.

He stopped driving in 1994 - which obviously under Labour made him perfectly suitable for a role advising government on transport.

He's now a non-exec director at BAA
