how often does an isa pay out?

Ive just got a isa with my own bank, its 3% interest p.a.

I put money in 5 days ago and on the 1st of this month i got paid 50pence interest, if the interest is paid monthly then i dont think ive recieved enough? there is £2000 in there, or does it depend how long the money is held in the account?

i dont know much about this can you explain in short?

The main reason i set it up is just to keep it out of the way, interest rates are only 3 percent average atm unfortunately lol.

i dont know if i would like to lose any money tbh, ive worked hard to save it so i think low risk is for me
