Family banking
Discussion
I’m currently in the process of reviewing how we have our personal, joint and savings accounts set up, and I’m interested to hear any advise and examples of how others have theirs set up.
For example, my wife and I currently have separate bank accounts, I bank with Barclays, and she banks with HSBC. We both get paid into these accounts, and from this have direct debits into a central current account (HSBC) at the start of each month to cover bills. However I feels unnecessarily complicated - but I enjoy my on bank account and some independents to buy stuff like gifts for the wife. And me!
I would also like to start separate savings pots for Christmas, our cars and holidays. Which could get even more complicated...
So, any input from you all would be much appreciated.
