HI all,

Looking for some advise. I have been a Barclays account holder since my parents set it up when I was about 1. I'm now approaching 30.

about 1.5 years ago I got a call from Barclays advising me that they were upgrading me to "Premier Banking" which I let them do, had no reason to need it to be fair but took it anyway, a long came my new black card, Premier Banking app etc.

I add "extras" onto my account, the tech pack and travel pack., from these I use the tech pack gadget insurance, lounge passes, travel insurance.

Fast forward to last week, out on the hit & miss in London, gets a text message from Barclays " Premier Banking have tried to contact you, please call us back", totally forgot to do it, anyway logged in today to find my Premier Banking has been removed and I'm now a "normal" customer again.

Now to be honest I have no reason to need Premier Banking, my local branch has closed, I applied to transfer my mortgage to their premier one and it was a laughable amount, premier house insurance at least £200 more that I pay. But it had me thinking tonight, something that really annoys me with Barclays is their unwilligness to support Google Pay even though they support Apple Pay.

Last week at work I forgot my wallet on a night shift, popped into Morrisons and used Google Pay to pay through my secondary Metro Bank account.

So my question is, is there a bank out there that offers packs such as tech, travel pack etc, who also supports Google pay?

I'm not too bothered about the gadget insurance as you said can get them cheaper. Its the lounge passes, I use them a lot.

I get 6 "free" then it gives me the option to buy extras at £15 each, if I was to buy them direct through the lounge companies they are usually £25 each.

I looked at something like priority pass which works out roughly same as I pay for the travel pack but there's no travel insurance included so then need to add that on top.
