Moving Royal Mail Letter Box - Possible / Costs ?

I'm fairly sure the answer is - No

But I thought I'd ask in case I'm wrong (google didn't find much)

I've built a new house on a corner plot and there is a letter box right outside my window is it possible to get it relocated as there are cars stopping to post letters all day

There is a spot 10m away where there was once a tree planted that's next to a substation so it wouldn't affect anyone else.

Whilst I'm tempted fire up the JCB I'm guessing there are huge fines for interfering with the mail.

I know it was there first and I'd be expecting to pay the cost.

Anyone had an experience with this ?

Cost to move £2k

They blame the council for the cost saying they have to apply to them.
