I currently have an old up and over garage door which is on its last legs, quite dented and recently two of the four springs have broken, definitely time to look at replacing.

I like the idea of an electric roller door but would like to know if there is anything to be aware of with these or any other better options?

Are they typically quite secure, are there any manufacturers recommended or to be avoided?

Also what should I be expecting to pay for a fitted door?

1 x double roller. Slightly wider than normal double I think - will check the dims later.
Supply and install.
Thats the sort of price I was expecting, is that electrically controlled from a Keyfob ETC?

That looks good Charlie, very tidy indeed!

I'm looking at an anthracite grey one, two remotes enclosed internal box, manual internal as I have a door from the rear, have been quoted £1400 fitted by these guys, http://www.rollerdor.net/roller-garage-doors which didn't seem bad at all! Its a bit wider than a standard double. They seem to get some good reviews.

I got a brochure followed by a sales call one evening, and I mean sales call!! He wanted to arrange a time that myself and my wife would be available to sit down with their specialist. I said give me an idea of price first! He wouldn't, I said unless you can tell me you can do it for less than 2k your wasting your time, he hung up.....

I've gone for an anthracite grey from Rollerdor in Norwich, RD77 classic with two remotes and internal manual override. £1420 including VAT.

There isn't a bad word said about them on reviews.com and a average of 4.8 over 280 odd reviews, good feedback on their Facebook page too.

Being fitted at the end of the mi th so I'll get some pics!
