Am I correct in thinking that you cannot buy grey UPVC ?

Hence they are either foiled (which means they have a wood grain effect) or painted.

If this is the case has anyone had experience with the painted variety ?

Thanks, I wasn't clear in my OP I want the UPVC to match (within reason) my aluminium doors hence I don't want the grained effect.

I'm concerned about a painted product as it's not something I've experienced.

Get some nice aluminium windows to match smile
They are 3x the price and have worse thermal performance so I'm not keen.

We had a UPVC conservatory in a sort of cream colour and it seemed we could pick the RAL colour of our choice...I don't see why UPVC windows would be any different?
There's a grey one on here....http://www.rehauhome.com/upvc-windows/uPVC-Coloured-Windows
We have a winner !

I've just spoken to the nearest showroom and it seems Rehau do grey in a smooth foil as well as the usual woodgrain.

Thanks

I got the impression that UPVC, when foiled grey was not far off the cost of Aluminium. I bought Aluminium, didn't think it was eye wateringly expensive.
Perhaps not for a standard window but one of mine is a 7.5m wide triangle.
