Hi,
In the planning stage for a new garage, house is in conservation area of town, with lots of old garages/coachhouses as well as some more modern eyesores opposite. My house is Victorian so want to have it looking relatively in keeping if possible.

What would really look in keeping is 2 big solid wooden side hung doors... however, due to space limitations, I need to park a car right in front of the doors and don't want to have to move a car every time i need to get into the garage, plus plan to have car lift internally so an up and over door would also not work as likely to be in way of lift - so was thinking that a roller shutter type door would be more practical as it would go straight up and maximise the space.

Can anyone suggest a place to get (ideally electric) garage door from which wouldn fit requirements that would look as in place as possible?! - Are there good looking imitation wood doors that would look suitable?

Thanks - Also any ideas for style of windows to suit victorian / outbuilding area welcome!

Thanks for the suggestions I will check them out. I can't really think of any suggestions other than a roller door to do what I want. Really I need a roller shutter than looks like a traditional side hung wooden door! Haha! I suppose the only other option may be a wooden door that concertinas up to the side but need to check it will leave enough space to get the car in. Garage door will be 2.7m wide.
