Annoying little things for some odd reason you put up with!

5 or so years ago I bought a stand alone kitchen waste bin.. you know the type, 3 or so feet tall, step on the pedal and the lid opens type affair.

king hate the thing.
Its positioned on a tiled floor, so when you step on the pedal it slides back and the lid smashes against the wall, marking the paint in the process.
But this is nothing compared to the blood boiling frustration I experience every time I replace the bin liner... The stupid metal handle attached to the inner 'bin' always drops down, so when you try and lift the bag out it catches on anything that isn't perfectly smooth and lifts the inner bin with it. This then clatters the lid into the wall again.
Absolute of a bin.
Yet when we moved house it came with us. And it just sits there, like the bd bin it is and I do nothing about it.
Anyone else put up similar st and yet just live with it? (wives/girlfriends excluded)
