Combi Boilers... any good?

I'm renovating a 3 bed mid terrace, the current normal boiler needs replacing.

Are modern Combi Boilers any good or should I just replace like for like? 1 bath/shower.

I would not go back to a combi again and as/when this boiler goes pop I dont plan on replacing it with a combi either.

Could you expand on your reasons why you wouldn't go back to a combi?
