Preventing steam build up in bathroom

Hi Folks

Whenever one of our family members has a bath/shower there seems top be a lot of steam building up in the bathroom.

Is there something we could do or buy a small device which will prevent steam from building up?

Yes, we do open the window in the summer but not in the winter. It's too cold !!

We don't have an extractor fan, but may get one now !
