I'm painting a couple of walls and a ceiling in my bathroom. All the proper bathroom paints are listed as soft sheen. I'd rather have a proper Matt if possible...

Has anyone used Dulux diamond without any mould issues. I don't want to be painting it once I a year!.

I have Dulux Diamond in the bathroom. Not my favourite finish but you can scrub any mould off without damaging the paint.

The high sheen is what allows it to washed and scrubbed, so you'd be better with a Satin or Eggshell in a bathroom, the condensation will drip rather than sit.

Crown do one called clean extreme scrubbable matt. It says matt, but it does have a bit of a sheen to it.

And Zinsser do the Perma White in matt as well. only used in Satin and it's great. The website hints that the matt version isn't scrubbable, though.

Most trade brands have their own version.

You can also by additives to put in normal paint for mould protection.

I've used Dulux Vinyl Matt in the downstairs bathroom. No probs so far but it's very well ventilated. Just have to remember its not one for a lot of scrubbing/cleaning products etc. Its actually the same paint we used for our living room so quite matt.

TBH- I avoid any other emulsion paint other than silk/gloss, as it never covers as well as silk gloss. Matt- looks great, but it needs a lot of coats to cover.

You need to buy some decent paint next time.

Dulux Diamond Matt is just the trade version of Dulux Kitchen, it will be more durable and coverage and opacity will be far superior to any consumer range paint made by Dulux.

I've used Crown Trade a few times and found it very poor.
