Planning granted for loft converison in 2002

Work commenced (fitted a velux) in 2003, we have established that this means planning has not lapsed

The building control application was made in 2010 and fee paid

No further work was carried out by the previous owners but we are now going to complete

What Buiding regulations apply ?

Thanks

Interesting, just been browsing the B regs archives

Currently would have to achieve 0.18 for the roof but could get away with 0.25 (the 2010 regs don't apply) so it's back to 2006

Have you seen the price of PIR boards ? yikes

Yea they've gone up a bit but so have gas and electricity so you'd be wise to work to current regs IMO to save on the latter long term
A very valid point, and it's not that much more

Was it a Full Plans application, or a Building Notice?
I think it was full plans (don't have the submission - only the reply from BC)

"I ackowledge receipt of your application......... received on May 18th 2010 together with .... £500"

"I am able to confirm that the palns have been accepted and are being appraised"

you should be working to the 2010 regs,
How so? They say: "In effect from 1 October 2010"
