Which ones are good, the amazon sale is coming up and this year I’m thinking about getting one.

Ive got two dogs so it’s mainly for dog hair, yes I’ve seen the vids of the robovac smearing dog poo around the house.

Neato Botvac D5 here. Normally comes down to a palatable £300 in the Amazon sales.

Wouldn't be without it. It collects a bin full of dog air every day. Admittedly the bin isn't huge, but needs emptying every day.

Connects in to Alexa - so you can start it off by voice. The App is good, maps the clean every day and you can create virtual no go areas.

Our second Neato - after they fixed a lot of the LIDAR issues.
Sounds great. I want an app and some cool tech especially Alexa.

I don’t know what LIDAR is but I definitely want it too.

We've got the Neato D5 Connected downstairs, and an older Neato XV upstairs.

They're great, wouldn't be without one now. Cleans every day at a set time, or on demand via Alexa or the app, and who doesn't want to see a map of where their vacuum cleaner has been!!! biggrin

That looks great.

How do they tend to manage around dining tables and legs of chairs etc? Can they get close or does their radar (whatever) just give them a wide berth?

The real thing is to have a robot vac friendly home, my Neato D5 swallowed a micro usb cable and made a right mess of it. Now I have tidied up all the cables, etc it works fine, sometimes get caught in chair legs, etc but saves a lot of time/hassle.

Now that I've purchased I can refer someone....

I'd split the cash 50/50 so you'll get it for £20 cheaper plus £38 worth of accessories.... an absolute bargain for £150 for the Eufy 30C plus the accessories surely?

My eufy arrived today and I must say I am impressed for the money. Seems to do a decent clean and has some intelligence built in which is more then I expected.

She does take the long way home to the charging base but she got there. I think I need to try a few positions as maybe there's a better location to make it easier
When did you order? I ordered mine Sunday and not heard anything from them since. My order just says ‘processing’ but they’ve had the money from my account.

I picked up the amazon basics one. Think it was 80 quid? Dumb as a drunk dog, but definitely useful for the money. It's just random and I chuck it in a room for an hour and listen out for when it gets stuck. Would buy a smarter one but have too many big rugs and nooks it gets stuck in right now. Next house, totally getting a pricey one.

If you leaving a robot unsupervised, then does it matter that much if the unmapped version takes 50% longer?
