...do they work for? Need to buy some for my old mum's tree, they appear to run off 2x AA batteries, 45 LED lights how long do they run for off a set of batteries? She'll have them on most evenings until new year.

Are you serious?

Should last well into Julember.
Why respond if you've got nothing sensible to say?

Sorry snowflake, have I upset you?

A £4 set of battery lights and you start a thread to ask how long a pair of batteries costing what, a pound will last.

God help you when you have a big dilemma in your life.
Again, why respond if you've got nothing sensible to say?

Thanks for all the responses, looks like battery powered lights weren't going to work for me. I ended up getting some mains powered ones from my local high street, all now installed on my mum's tree. Hopefully will be trouble free until the new year, have set them up with one of her remote control mains plugs so she can switch them on and off from her armchair.
