Would appreciate some advice guys.

I need to fix some 44mm x 8.5mm decorative battens to 6mm thick MDF in an internal room and I’d like to avoid nail heads and wood filler, so would prefer not to pin and glue.

The unpainted back of the battens would be fixed to the MDF which is finished in eggshell paint.

Is it feasible to use a grab adhesive, and if so is Evo-Stik Gripfill suitable (builders’ merchants suggested it), or would another make be better?

Thanks

The regular stuff in white tubes takes around 24 hours

The Turbo stuff in black tubes costs about £2 more, but is done in about 15 mins - if that matters to you at all.
Thanks. I’ve bought the Turbo stuff to save time/frustration. Hopefully biggrin

Quick feedback. Used the Turbo and it’s very good. Sets within 10 minutes even where the wall is uneven and the wood is proud of the wall (needs wedging obviously). Very impressed smile
