I live in a largish 1960 bungalow, it has cavity wall insulation and new aluminium double glazing.

For as long as I've know the house has suffered with condensation resulting in wet windows, cills and black spot mould, enough is enough !

We use tumble drier, so don't dry clothes on an airer. I know the ensuite needs a extractor and that's my first job.
But I've been looking into the nuaire Drimaster PIV, Amazon reviews suggest it will sort my issues.
Any one have one fitted and can comment, I really want to get on a decorate but need this sorted to enable me

Sounds like a resounding yes then, the worst area is our dressing room directly off our bedroom where we sleep.

I've taken to sleeping with the window open a bit and it does make a difference but when I work nights I'd rather not with my wife being alone in a bungalow.

I'm going to order one now, don't imagine the heated version makes a massive difference so I'll save the extra cost and put it towards heating.

Just placed the order for the hall adjustable one, hopefully it'll be here Friday and I can get it fitted asap.

Sounds like it'll be the right choice after all the good reports I've heard, our soffits are vented so loft doesn't suffer with stale air fortunately.

I'll be sure to update soon as it arrives, on that did you all opt for the hanging method or joist mounted ?
I'm thinking hanging to eliminate the chance of vibration throughout

All fitted today, took about 1hr 30 after mincing about. Got it as central in the hall as I can but a joist off set it alittle but not noticeable.

It's certainly larger than in expected, initial power up showed no display in the fan speed, fortunately a slightly loose wire on the command wire and it's all working as should.
Currently set on 2 of 6, time I'll tell and I'll see what the morning brings condensation wise

As suggested I'm now running the first few days on setting 3, a very faint hum if you listen in a otherwise silent house.

Should you have vented soffits that'll be more than enough

Happy to say it is the magic device I've been looking for and no sign of any condensation. Absolutely chuffed with the purchase and result

The draft is one thing I was worried about but on setting 3 when walking underneath I can't feel anything.
Unless I put my hand right up to the diffuser I can't tell the difference, neither can my wife who's quite possibly the coldest blooded person on earth.

Our hive schedule is set to come on at 0600, I leave for worth before the heating comes on and ice noticed the temp has dropped in the hallway by .8degree.
A very small price to pay !

I got mine from Isells via Amazon. Turned up the next day so can't complain.

I just fitted a plug on mine but it was delivered with a fused spur socket from isells

Very simple to fit, template in packaging, cut hole in ceiling. Hang unit from supplied cord and plug in.
Hours work which included cleaning up the plasterboard dust

Doors don't need to be kept open, I've found there is enough "vent space" around the door/doorframe it works just fine.

I'd strongly recommend, certainly sorted my issues
