Someone has gravelled my drive!

This is really strange.
I've been away a couple of days - but Mrs Caziques called me today to see if I had arranged for our drive to be redone, (I hadn't)
Around 9.30 (pm) yesterday evening, about half our 100 metre drive was gravelled - she thought the noise was the farmer working in the next field (not uncommon).
It's not a bad job, but there were a few potholes that should have been done first.
We simply have no idea who has done this, or why. No contact from anyone today.
No close neighbours with a drive like ours.

The new gravel starts at the front wheels of the van. Extra points if you can identify the model. The wheels are from an early Leaf.

Still none the wiser as to who or why.
The gravel is standard in New Zealand, and is how I would have done it - after filling in all the potholes.
