Hypnos Mattresses are they worth the hype?

The missus wants a new bed in our soon to be new build home. We’ve settled on size (super king) now it’s down to a choice of what mattress we have. We’ve been around all the shops and to be honest it’s a bit of a minefield, the Hypnos ones we tried seemed to be the better out of the lot from the brief time we spent on top of it. So I was wondering if anyone had any experience of Hypnos? They seem to be pricier than the rest but I’m not too fussed about that as comfort is key.

Planing on a visit to their showroom soon, I'm considering a zip link super kingsize - half medium and half firm (for me)

Model: Bespoke Luxury Divan set with ottoman storage.

Size: Super King

Headboard: Mia Floor Standing

We were just going to buy the mattress and then sort out the rest either with a non Hypnos base at either that store or elsewhere but decided that we might as well get everything Hypnos as we were not exactly going to save a fortune mixing and matching.

We also purchased two Hypnos pillows whilst we were there.

Cheers! Yeah looking forward to it, it’s going to be quite an upgrade to what we are sleeping on at the moment.

Lead time for delivery is around 6-7 weeks.

Update to this, the bed was delivered today, wasn’t as long a wait as we thought. Will be a week before we can give a true verdict on what it’s like to sleep in but basing it on a brief lie down earlier it’s heaps comfier than the bed it replaces.

Overall very happy with it and think it was a worthy purchase, still relatively early days but it’s considerably comfier than the previous bed

This. It’s damn heavy. I had to return the gas lift ottoman bed base which I got at the same time because it couldn’t handle the weight.

That’s strange, we’ve got the ottoman and it seems to hold itself up well. In fact it’s difficult for the missus to get down once it’s up.

I didn’t get a Hypnos Ottoman, but a Warren Evans one. I did this because the Warren Evans ottoman had the highest rated gas lifts with a single large space (1 gas lift on each side), that I could find anyway. Nope, it couldn’t handle it. Definitely need a 4 gas lift ottoman, with the highest lift rating possible!

Ah I see. Yes as ours is basically two ottomans put together it’s got 4 gas struts and some hefty springs.

Sorry I missed this Big Stevie.

Yeah it’s still comfy, not sure it’s worth the thousands we spent on it but no regrets on buying it. The ottoman storage was well worth the money though.
