Looking at getting our house painted and the painter recommended Dulux weather shield but didn't specify trade or retail paint. The trade is way more expensive, like 4x the price, but has more pigment and apparently lasts longer.

Anyone know a good place to get it, or is it just not worth 4x the price?

Thanks!

If you phone Dulux they will explain all the differences and tell you all the places to get it mixed, they are really helpful, I spoke to them last week.
You are correct. But all they are really doing is selling you the most expensive options.
Think it's something daft like £100+VAT now for the Trade Masonry, the consumer version is £40 and you get about 5sqm coverage per litre more with the trade one.
i'm going to go with dulux trade weathershield i think. I have found it for £49 for the mixed on demand stuff for 5L. From what i've read it is much better than retail. Painter says get 30L to start, and we can order more. Better than over order as you can't return it.
