Well just got home put my key in the lock turned it pushed handle down door still solid?
Went to back door key in it cant open that either! no windows open sat in garden, now started raining
locksmith cant make it till 6.45!! luckily can still connect to internet via home hub (till laptop battery runs out.)

No doubt going to be charged a fortune for someone to butcher my door, so will have to have a new one.

Got married a month ago come back from California 2 weeks ago so skint!

Anyone having a worse day!!! Oh and I need the toilet and the cat is meowing to get out of the house so he is probably going to go toilet on my new rug! great

Hmm cant do it, its a pvc shoot bolt type unlocks at the top and bottom its the middle bit that wont move. Scared I wont be able to lock it if i can boot it in. Will end sitting up all night with a 7 iron in hand guarding my tv and hd box!!

Hi, Finally got in my house at 8.15pm!! after the locksmith drilling the back door lock, trying to open the front door and eventually going to fetch ladders as the bathroom window looked slightlu ajar.

We then had to unscrew the top opener on the window out of the frame to get in.
Was hilarious! wish I had videod it.

He then changed the barrel on the back door. The front door lock is knackered so will need a new one
charged me £67. Top guy!

The cat luckily didnt "park its breakfast" on my new rug and the mrs went round her mates till it was fixed so no nagging!!

It does pose the question though I never showed him any ID or anything I could of been anyone.
Although I suppose if you wait around 4 hours to get in someone else's house you probably deserve whats inside.

Alls well that ends well.

so he kackered one lock, didn't fix another, you got in through an open window for the sum of £67 +VAT and you're please?

can anyone get in on this game?
Hmm when you out it like that, but he was there for nearly 3 hours did open the front door and make it work for the time being, and replaced the cylinder in the back door which he couldnt drill out
thats the way I look at it.

The back door wouldnt open because it was locked with the key in the door, so using the key from the outside wouldnt work.

Lesson learned dont leave keys in the door.
