The seals on my folding glass shower screen which goes along side the bath appear to ahve perished and shrunk.

Are there standard size replaceemnts? I've no idea what make the shower screen is.

The seals are rubber sections that go on the bottom of the concetina. Having refitted teh screen following decoration and giving them a good clean the appear too short in the vertical plane. Ie there is a gap between the screen and the surface that is supposed to be sealed.

The Screen is fitted properly - it won't go down any further.

I put the seals in the washing machine to get them good and clean - this may be the problem I fear.

I now know this was probably a stupid thing to do.

I thought about that, but I have the DIY skills of a child. No exaggeration.

The screen is fixed to a vertical metal base which fixes to the wall and rests on the top of the bath. There is no room for play as far as I can see.

Are seals easily available? Is there some sort of standard that fits most shower screen types? I imagine perishing rubbers must be a fairly common problem.

Sparky - the thing is, I'll probably try and do that later on today. Including the writing. Oh and yes, that is like my shower screen!

I much prefer getting a little chap in. My wife seems to think she should have married one. Oh well, back to work next Monday to do what I do very well indeed - which isn't DIY.
