Gate Connundrum

Dear all,

We need to put a gate up on the side of the house, it's an end terrace, (3 houses in the terrace), the house in the middle needs to use the side bit to get his bins out, we have no problem with this at all as he's a nice chap.
However..
Before we lived there an old man lived there, & as he did'nt use his garden he let next door (the middle house), use his access path & garden to get into the house, bins etc.
This means that at all hours theres people coming & going, walking past the front door, then the back door, which sits below our bedroom.
There was a loud bang last night &, it was dark, so we couldnt see anything & i ended up going out armed with a claw hammer thinking someone was breaking in.
It transpired to be 2 fairly shocked looking girls about 18, looking at me wielding a claw hammer.
I asked them politely if they could use their front door in future & they said yeah & sorry etc.
The missus is petrified that someones continually going to break in as we keep hearing bangs & random people walking past the front & back.
Theres absolutely no reason why they can't use their front door.
We've tried dropping hints by putting wheelie bins & bits of wood round but they either come round, knock them over, or move them and put them back again.
Therefore a gate is going to be needed to put up.
It won't be able to be opened from the front, so that means they'll have to go round the front everytime, but he'll be able to get his wheelie bins out.
BUT.
The problem i have is...
The gap is about 1800mm wide.
One side is the outer wall of the house, the other is a wall.
No problem here as i can fix to the walls.
The problem i have is that the pathway is concrete.
Is there any way round it as i'm going to need to fix a middle post in the ground without having to drill & create a hole in the concrete.
Is there going to be anything sturdy enough in a ground anchor bracket etc?

I've found a ground anchor bracket.
It's like a sleve that goes over the bottom of the post then you fix into the ground.
I can support this post by putting some rails across to the post fixed to the wall.
What would be the cheapest / best way to fix this sleeved bracket to the ground?
As i imagine you wouldnt rawl plug it & screw?

The other chap has only lived next door for 18months.
OH spoke to him this morning & he's more than happy for us to put it up as he appreciates its not just our house that's "wide open" but also his.
No problesm on the lgeality side as that's been checked.
The gap to gate is only 1400mm wide.
I'm just trying to find the most cost effective plase to buy:

6ft (approximate) gate
base anchor & fixings
fence posts & fixiings
& some wooden slats just to cover the remaing little bit after the gate.

Any recommendations?

Where might i find some expansion bolts to be able to fix to the floor?
I also need the sleeve to fix to the concret, but can't find this anywhere as i've lost the site.
Would a normal masonry bit on the end of a hammer drill drill into the concrete ok?

Do you know what size the holes are on those met post as i need to buy the appropriate rawlbolt / expansion bolt.

Ideal, cheers chaps!
Just need to get a quote for the posts & gate later on from the local supplier.
Managed to get all the bolts & drill bits from the work store so saved myself some cash there!
