Soft-top car - Humane cat repellent needed

As the title - One of the local cats has decided that the roof of my car is a nice place to sit and catch the sun and I am really concerned about damage to the soft-top from its claws (as a former cat owner with many claw-holes in clothing) - Is there any cat- (and car-) safe product that will dissuade him and get him, and other local cats, to leave my car alone?

I am hoping for some sort of spray that cats really don't like the smell of, but is undetectable / inoffensive to humans, or similar solutions - Not going to go to these lengths !
