Any owners on here?

I'm currently looking for a litter. I'm after a bh that will be about 9 weeks in April time?

I have a few questions about the breed after doing my homework and it would be nice to talk to some owners.

Thanks guys,

Yes your right about the date. Im now thinking i might be best waiting until after our 10 day holiday in July. Although my dad will be looking after the dog on a regular basis maybe its better not to lump a new puppy on him haha (I'm sure he would love it he used to run a kennels).

Ive read they make good running companions, can anyone comment?
I run about 3 miles a night. Be nice to have some company.

I guess if you get them into a habit they should be OK,

Saying that i used to have a jack russell… supposedly you can't run the back legs off them they keep going forever. He was more than happy to lay by the fire and not move a muscle! Liked to a ripe old age too!

Ive always wanted one and the tales i hear just confirm that they are awesome little characters, My jack russell passed away a couple of years ago but I've been house hunting so not wanted to start with a puppy but we should complete soon and then its a perfect time biggrin

I cannot wait.

Wow thanks for the helpful posts!

Does anyone leave them alone for any length of time. There will be 2 days a week where they will be alone for about 5 hours?

I can't wait for my own little toddler dog lol!

Thanks for taking the time to write such an in depth post.

Very helpful!!

I've had a few dogs and my parents used to run a kennels. We were always brought up understanding that dogs had rules and boundaries.

My concern with adopted Adult dogs is having a new rule book put on them and not understanding not jumping on sofas etc.

Well it was worth an idea haha,

Although my heart is set on an EBT, if they arnt the right dog for me I will look at other breeds.

My concern is the walking / running thing.
