By self-groom, I mean clip your dog's coat.

Can't image it's that difficult, I've been doing my own noggin for years.

Post your top clip tips here please.

I always do my two terriers - a Welsh and a Lakeland.

I used to strip them but they hate it so now do them with the scissors and a Wahl electric timmer. Though I say it myself I can do a good job, better than all of the parlours we have used in previous years and thedogs trust me so there's never an issue.

The Lakie is a fiesty little bugger so I tend to do her is a series of sessions over a couple of days. The Welsh is laid back so I do him in a single session.

Always bath them first or else your scissors wont last 5 minutes - I use Mikki coat scissors and smaller ones with blunt tips for ears and face.

I then use a stripping knife after a few days to remove the loose hairs and allow the wire to come through.

I actually enjoy it, really satisfying!
Ah, this is what I wanted to hear.

Soooo, any chance of some pics of the finished articles?

biggrin

Edit: Please post pics anyway - I'll post up one of ours.
