How to get rid of mice

We have suddenly started to get mice in my cupboard under my stairs. An outdoor cupboard leads to this cupboard so I am assuming they are getting in that way. I have put poison down and mouse traps in the cupboard and am catching one a day unfortunately. I have also blocked holes in the outdoor cupboard where they may be getting in. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of these?

So is it just wait till all the traps kill them or is there more I can do?

Fingers crossed I think they are gone now. I assume the poison and traps have done what they are supposed to as there have been none for 3 days now.
