Going to Chamonix tomorrow, nothing yet open, alternatives?

HI Guys,
for those of you with fingers on the alpine pulse. took a gamble which hasn't paid off ( has previous years) and heading to Argentiere tomorrow ( chamonix) Grand Montets looked like it was opening but in the last few hours they've confirmed that they won't be. Anyone know here the nearest snow to Cham might be as there will be 12 of us and only hopping out for a couple of days. thanks \\already part paid accommodation and fully paid for transfer so will still go to Chamonix and travel to and from snow from there.
thanks all.

Yep, Avoriaz has limited opening. Morzinehas no show at all, but I needed to find a chalet at late late notice, so we are staying in Morzine and bus up to Avoriaz took 10 mins.
pretty busy after 11 a sonly a few bits open, but smashed it in the morning so retired at lunch to the bar. Cham opens next Saturday.
