Package deal for solo traveller San Fran

A friend is acting on my recommendation to go to San Francisco but is a solo traveller and as usual room rate attract a premium.
Does anyone have a recommendation who to use specifically for something like this or is it a case of trip advisor/ one of the many booking sites and putting a package together? She's after direct flights from Manchester if poss but can go anytime September or October.
I've had a look and it seems v expensive for 5 or 7 nights as a singleton !
