Looking at Bangkok for a Stopover on wayback from Oz in August.

Only going to be for maybe 4 nights ( 2 adults, 2kids (9&11)

Are there any beach resorts within 1 hour drive from the airport
If not any hotels with nice swimming pools that are family friendly.
Any other tips much appreciated

thanks - only looking at Bangkok as flights seem cheapest.

adding the stopover in Singapore adds another £1k to the flight costs
need to find away of doing this more cheaply

The price of the flights make Thai Air the best option.
Still looking at hotel options in Bangkok and also maybe in Pattaya. Keep the suggestions coming ( around the £200/night range)
Want the kids in separate beds.
The Shangri-La suggested that 1 kids went in the double bed with me and the missus & the other kids gets a bed of their own.

When i last went £1 bought 80 baht, today only 43.

Thinking of anantara riverside but not sure if location is too far out
