Will be attending a big concert at the O2 later this year, driving down from the North. Not having been before where would be a decent spot to b+b /hotel for the night so we don't have to drive back late?
Not fussed about a London trip, purely an in/out overnight lol.
Parking/tube/walking to venue?
Cheers

Plenty of Premier Inn / Travelodges nearby but the closer to venue, the more expensive they will be and not all have parking so need to budget for this on top. Plus you have the drive into a very busy part of town.

Consider Premier Inn, Brentwood. Easy to get to from M25 and Right opposite Brentwood Station which is 20 - 25 mins to Stratford then a short hop on the Jubilee Line to the O2. There will be other similar hotels elsewhere in outer London but O2 tends to be easier to reach from the north eastern fringes than elsewhere.
Yea I don't mind jumping on a tube or train to the O2 if it avoids driving right into London inside the m25 etc if it's fairly easy to get away after the gig

Presumably you’ll be exiting at J1 of the M1. The Holiday Inn Swiss Cottage is less than 10 minutes from J1 and is opposite Finchley Road Tube which is on the Jubilee line and will get you to the O2 in 45 minutes.
Sounds perfect.
Apologies for questions and being a northern monkey but what time does underground train service from O2 stop running do you think?

Just across the river, car park about 2 mins away and a cable car across to the O2.

I'm looking at all these suggestions thanks it's very helpful with not knowing the set up there.
Very rarely do we bother with London tbh altho we did a weekend with Shard view fairly recently hence not fussed about staying near centre. Somewhere we can drive straight into (3hr drive) and then out next day after brekky is cool. Didn't want to get stuck after gig for tube or trains etc as no idea what time they run to altho obviously they've 20k people to move away from the O2.
