Things to do, places to drink in Cardiff

Going to Cardiff with the wife and was wondering if anyone can recommend any nice bars or restaurants for the evening (nothing too loud as we would prefer to talk).

And also things to do during the day. Think maybe a day at the beach and a day in Cardiff.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Probably cocktails to be hinest and for food she’s a vegetarian but doesn’t mind going to meat places as long as she has something to eat. Or Greek/Italian food.

Would prefer quieter places as we need to be able to talk to one another.

Brilliant thanks for that didn’t realise they had a cosy club. We liked the one in Liverpool.
