premier inn restaurant and bar closed

As we can’t get abroad this year we’ve booked a few nights in Edinburgh at the Premier Inn near the Royal mile. Even if you book any premier inn right upto November it says the restaurant will be closed, are they just being overly cautious? surly they can’t keep them closed that long?

I’m hoping at least breakfast will be open when we go end of this month, kids love their breakfast and the main reason we use them. We have a car and want to see some of Scotland so we’ll just have to find places open, won’t be as easy as just walking in though.

Thanks, that’s really helpful. You do realise that at some point they need to reopen?

I was only questioning that having all food and bars closed in all of their hotels until November seems a bit excessive for a large group like Premier Inn, considering a lot of other places will be open on Saturday.

Thanks for the replies, some of the chain hotels Holiday Inn, Meccure etc are offering breakfast, they are normally buffet style, maybe they’ll do order only. Some Premier Inn when not busy you have to order the cooked meals. I hope the bars open, I’m sure we can sort food out in big city. If they don’t have a bar or food until November while others do, will have an big impact, I’d think they’ll review before then.
