just done a tour of scotland including the isle of skye, in my vw campervan, portree, the capital is lovely, also went further north to uig via a lovely drive over the mountains with breathtaking scenery on the approach to uig, if you want to take that route, then then drive up to staffin and then take the 1st left after the general store shop/small fuel station, well worth the drive.
Thanks, we're staying in Uig (providing Sturgeon doesn't lock the country down today) so looking forward to the drive. Hopefully a chance to get a few nice pics of the car against some great backdrops!Edited by micky metro on Tuesday 6th October 21:53
They can but we'd planned a few days of activities with meals around 7:30/8:00 then we could get back to the hotel for ~10pm.
The idea of heading straight back to the hotel as darkness falls, eating form the same menu repeatedly and being "trapped" there all night didn't appeal so we've booked some other stuff closer to home (which may still end up being canceled depending on any new restrictions!).
Definitely heading to Skye when things are more normal though.
