Road trip Starting from Santander Spain

Just looking at getting some driving in with most of Europe on a no go, thought about getting the Ferry to Santander and going into northern Spain.
Other than flying into Murcia and Barcelona that all i have done in Spain.
Looking at the Map i was thinking going West across the coast, any recommendations for places to visit / stay in the upper range and also sports car friendly ?
