So lancaster insurance cover my car and took breakdown with them as well.
I now have a trip to Germany and wanted to make sure I was covered in Europe, I'm not.

I asked to upgrade and was told they couldn't do anything and call "silver knight " to add.
After 3/4 of a day and several calls later it would seem its "impossible" to ammend and add European coverage. Lots of sloping shoulders.

Anyone have experience of this and advice other than spending £100 on a totally new policy?

Thanks in advance.

Cheer Zed, good shout I'd forgotten about them.
I should have thought about it that way round as I've ordered tyres for delivery to a garage over there to save a fortune as well. "European prices" 😜

Bill said:
Isn't this entirely normal? IIRC the AA give you two days in Europe included with your policy and any extra you need to pay for.
I don't have any problem with paying for the extra cover, I do however refuse to accept that I can't amend a policy I currently pay for.

A valuable lesson has been learned though, always take full European breakdown when purchasing a policy even if you think you will never need it.

Cheers for the replies gents,
In the end a new 12mth policy with flux for £99 inc full European.

I'll keep swift in mind next year.
