Hair Clippers - Remington or . . .
Discussion
Haven't found any better clippers than my Remington HC363, superseded by HC365, less powerful and has the uncanny knack of destroying 3mm combs, four in two years. No more goodwill gestures from Remington Customer Services, as I found out yesterday
Unfortunately these clippers seemingly, appear to be the only half decent cordless clippers around. I'm guessing their lithium-ion models aren't as good?!
Any Remington users found anything better than what I currently put up with?

I had a Remington set for about ten years, thought they were good but required constant oiling and cleaning.
I left them at my mum's house after a visit there so bought a cheapy set of Babyliss clippers. They've worked flawlessly for the last eight years, I don't know if my Remington clippers still exist, the Babyliss cost less than half as much and have outperformed the Remington in every way.
Interesting, as I was queued up at debenhams checkout the other day and amongst other products they had sets of Babyliss clippers for £20. I'm guessing it was these.

Do you know the 3 shortest cutting comb lengths PH?
Think I'm going to go back to a Wahl corded set. 3m cord means I can still hang my head over the bath
I wonder whether the Super Taper is worth near double the Chrome Pro?

Another vote for Wahl here and that is backed up by all my staff (18) who use them day in day out .
Can the public readily buy ones of the same quality as professionals use? How much would they cost? (more than happy with my £14 home use ones, just curious)LaurasOtherHalf said:
If anyone wants any wahl super tapers then just pm me for future reference, I can supply & deliver at cost price. There's a nice set going at the moment that come with the wahl mini rechargeable mini clippers. We use both in the salon & the super tapers are still going strong on the shop floor (with minimum oiling I might add) well over 10 years later
Now you tell me!! I paid a little over the odds for a set last night.

Found and ordered this pair of combs on ebay which fills in the gaps nicely.
I've never used any beardy istubbly type products. Always used my hair clippers without attachments using the lever to adjust for stubble thickness. Occasionally I might use the 1mm attachment I now have for my Super Taper if I've left the stubble grow for a few extra days.
