Got a decent collection and just wondering who else on here is into them?

A friend and I have just set up a Facebook page to share a lot of the things we have and what we get

https://m.facebook.com/thesneakerannexe/

Not a business at all so hope this isn't breaking any rules, just a shared interest of people that are into this kind of thing. Most of the sites/YouTube channels are American based and a bit serious, we like to think ours is a bit of fun but still with some decent content

Yeah they're seriously into it. I've got a quite a few pairs (not counted them), but some people are mad on it. Seen the Darren Bent thing the other day? 50-60 pairs a month!!! I'm 2 or 3 roughly, obviously don't have that salary or else I might go mental too though

The bot thing is killing it. Also resellers are taking the pi$$ buying to just sell on for a big mark up.

The beauty of our stuff, I believe, is that we have all the old school gear too, not just Yeezy and NMDs (as much as Boost is amazing) like the kids on YouTube. In fact, my mum text me today to say she's just found some Nike Dunk 'Kermit the Frog' editions under my old bed...

Very much into trainers. I buy lots but never enough biggrin

Hopefully you can hook me up with some info on latest releases and stuff.
Cheers beer

You know the formula for how many trainers you should have don't you?

We've just started this little project, as I said in the shoe thread, I have loads of time off at work so can do the YouTube/Facebook videos etc. Just finding our feet a little then gonna do a weekly episode with what's being previewed, what's releasing the next week etc (this will probably come/start in a few weeks time). I know some of the American kids do this kind of thing, but me and the guy I'm doing it with (one of my good friends) were bored with the 'cool kids' and thought there should be something more light hearted out there, but still showing some of the latest stuff...

Not perfect yet, but the kind of thing we are aiming to do.

I have a few pairs, mainly adidas, but also have Converse, Gola, Walsh, Brooks, New balance and possibly others. In total, i would guess on 30 pairs ish.
Mainly adidas and Nike for me, but do have a few asics and converse. NB is the anomaly for me, I really like them but either can't find that perfect pair, or when I do something else is more appealing. Really liked the Yard pack that came out, but got 3 pairs of adidas so couldn't really get another pair or the Mrs really would kill me

Old vintage trainers are a massive market. Not one for me personally as I wear mine

I reckon the boxes could be worth something, maybe... can't hurt sticking them on eBay...

Yeah.

Big pic is from 2012 and the others are just a couple of notable things I've added recently haha. I have a decent collection of dress shoes too, I just love the amount of materials and palettes etc you can put into a sneaker smile
Completely agree. I go through phases though, sometimes things like dunks and Air Force 1, sometimes things like adidas 'terrace' shoes, or like at the minute Boost and Air Max (fancy some flyknit racers but not managed to find a colour I want available)

Have you seen the Bape superstars with boost? Not to my taste, but if you're a superstar fanatic...

They're quite pink, I got the 93/17s and they're more pink than I thought they were going to be. Still wearable with black jeans or joggers

Really like them, how is the Boost sole on them? I always felt they were flimsy on the NMD (Especially with the hype / price)

EDIT:

QUick google has people listing them at $250... i presume new they were around the $120-$150 range?
(Sorry for $ values, I live in the US)
Tbh I quickly whipped them out of the box and tried them on, then had to get off to work. Paid £130 for them over here

Not into trainers but found this article about Ian Brown from the Stone Roses going to see a shop in Argentina full of vintage Adidas really interesting although a sad story from the shop owners point of view.

The videos have been posted up earlier in the thread. The second one they go back and present Carlos with his own trainers (New Yorks I think from memory?), quite touching really

For the stuff I really want I'm a bit stuck with that £100-£150 price bracket, more so when it's all hyped online and they sell out in minutes - this morning for instance with the latest ultraboost release

But I often bag things in sales too, just missed out on some Kendrick Lamar reebok classics for £37

Keep mine all over the house, under the bed, in wardrobes, side of wardrobe in boxes. I never used to keep the boxes though and even 'limited edition' pairs would get worn. Though as I'm a little older I do try and keep the nicer ones, erm, nice and look at the forecast before deciding which to wear

The guy I do the videos with keeps a lot on a shelf in his annexe, hence why we film the videos there and the channel is called 'The Annexe'... He's got about 300+ pairs (mental)

I guess for some it will be, but it doesn't bother me a whole load. Just like people who collect model cars, some will collect and never get them out of a box, whereas others will have them on a display in a cabinet and maybe even disregard the boxes.

I never classed myself as a 'collector', I loved just wearing them. I had a few years off while having kids as the cost of maternity and childcare is ridiculous, but now they're older I'm getting back into it and feel a bit more precious about them. Also doesn't help when you're friend keeps them all pristine in boxes, it kind of rubs off a little

This works just as well, and about £2.30 from Sainsburys. I use it on all of my shoes and it even works on suede, much to the amazement of anyone I show!
Sweet, will take a look. Is it good for all material do you know? Though for £2.30 it would be a no brainer to not try it out on some of my 'lesser' kicks before applying it to the nice ones

A quick pic of the latest purchase to arrive. Have got some more on the way.

To Chebble, adidas are just releasing some amazing stuff at the minute. It's all I'm buying. Last pair of Nikes I bought were some Zeros in November, it's just been adidas since then. Do fancy some of the new dunks though with the speedo insoles

I agree, Adidas are on it at the moment. The EQT is already becoming the trainer that eyveryone buys this season. It's just like a couple of years ago, when all you saw was people in Nike Roshe's.
The new NMD I think. I love this silloutte, could do with a few new color ways soon.
They're the new EQT 93/17. PK upper and boost though, if you look carefully they have the 3 stripes running into the boost

EDIT - no idea why it's posting the pic the wrong way...
